Registration of Property Transactions

In India, where a large number of property transactions happen within friends and relatives, many people don't consider registration of their newly owned properties a must. In many cases, people do it late, sometimes months or years after the purchase. Thus, a large number of ownership disputes arise, sometimes due to illicit grabbing or illegal sale. While some property owners go through the registration process themselves, many others engage lawyers to do the task for them. Whether you are a property buyer or a lawyer, it is important for you to know the process of property registration and redressal mechanisms in case of any disputes.

This course provides you with an analysis of the legal framework and the benefits along with the step-by-step process of registering a property. It also offers you formats to draft agreements and deeds of sale, precautions one must take while purchasing property, detailed information on the process of e-property registration along with case studies and examples, such that you will be equipped with necessary knowledge to apply and advice those who require counsel regarding property registration and ownership.
