Nuclear Law Regime : A Comprehensive Overview

Nuclear energy is one alternative to conventional sources of energy. Since Nuclear power can be both, a bane or a boon, it calls out for regulation and not for prohibition.

Man has depended on various sources for energy today, most of our power needs are fulfilled by fossil fuels derived from mines and ocean beds across the world. The global energy sector has seen a drastic shift towards renewable and eco-friendly fuel substitutes in light of the decreasing reserves of conventional fossil fuels, the environmental hazards posed by them, and the universal escalation in their prices. In line with the policy of globalization, strengthened foreign diplomacy, and with the lifting of nuclear sanctions against India – the Nuclear Energy sector is pegged to grow exponentially.

The Energy sector is under constant scrutiny for several factors like efficiency, safety and feasibility, which leads to constant innovation and development. This makes Energy Laws a very dynamic discipline which requires legal professionals to continuously read up and acquire new skills to remain relevant in the field. Similarly, for law students looking to venture out in the corporate world, it is advised to move ahead with a set of specialized skills – as various leading businesses and law firms need a specialist to handle specialized areas.
