LawSkills.in is a platform that provides online certification courses to the learners seeking practical knowledge and quality content in their subjects of choice.
An online certificate course is taught via an online mode to help learners develop new skills, broaden their knowledge base and advance in their careers. Learners are provided with a Course Certificate upon completion of the course of their choice.
Anybody who is interested in learning and broadening their knowledge can sign-up for the courses on LawSkills. Our courses have been developed considering the requirements of students, practicing professionals and common people.
No, there is no age limit. Anybody can sign up.
Yes, internet connectivity is a necessity to access LawSkills.
No, you will need to set up a LawSkills account to enroll into courses.
To create a LawSkills account, you will need to:
  • Go to www.lawskills.in
  • Click on the Sign-up Online button.
  • Fill in your details or link your LawSkills account to your Facebook or Google profile.
We have designed LawSkills as a device neutral platform. Thus, you can access LawSkills on your computer, laptop and mobile devices, like smartphones and tablets.
LawSkills supports all commonly used browsers. So, you can access it as per your browser preference.

COURSE ENROLLMENT AND STRUCTURE

If you are a new user, visit www.lawskills.in to browse courses. Click on a course to know the details on its course description page. On the course description page, click on the 'Enroll' button to enroll in the course. This will open a login window. If you have earlier registered on the website, you can input your login credentials to reach the payment page where you can make the payment and get a transaction no. In case, you are not registered with the website, on the login window, click on the "Sign Up" link to register. Once your registration is complete, you will reach the payment page, where you can make the payment. Please read the instructions and the terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with the payment.

Alternately, if you already have a LawSkills account, you will be able to view all courses available on your Dashboard under Available Courses. We also have a specialised search filters that allow you to find courses offered in a specific language. To enroll to a course on LawSkills, you will have to:

  • Open the Course Description page by clicking on View Details of the course from your dashboard.
  • Hit Enroll.
  • You will then be taken to the payment gateway to make payment via debit or credit card.

You will receive a confirmation of your enrollment. After the confirmation, you will be able to access the course material and attempt quizzes and assignments.

You will be able to see a list of your Ongoing Courses on your Dashboard.
At LawSkills, we provide our learners with self-paced courses which allow them the flexibility to study as per their convenience. However, each course grants a specific period for students to access. Students are required to complete the course and submit the exam within this period to obtain a certificate of completion from LawSkills. We provide 3 to 6 months of access for courses, depending on the number of learning modules in the course.
The course material is available as self-reading material, audio lectures and video lectures. Apart from these, learners have access to interactive discussion forums.
All content will only be made available online. Any form of copying or duplication of course content is not permitted. Students can, however, make notes using the Notes function provided by LawSkills. You can e-mail or print these notes for future reference.
Remember, when your course expires, so do your Notes.
  • Quizzes
    At the end of each Module, there will be short quizzes with multiple choice questions to self-assess your progress in the course.
  • Assignments
    Each course will contain at least two assignments. Each assignment will have case-based questions which will test your ability to apply gained knowledge. You will be required to submit assignments in a Word document for evaluation by faculty members and be notified through your registered e-mail ID of feedback provided by them. To get your Course Certificate, you must ensure that you submit your Assignments during the span of the course.
  • Certification Exam
    At the end of the course, you will have to take the Certification Exam and get the minimum passing mark (50%) to earn a certificate from LawSkills. This assessment will contain multiple choice questions along with descriptive questions, and a total of 20 to 50 questions need to be completed within a stipulated time frame.
You will receive your final result within two weeks, and will subsequently receive your certificate for the same via e-mail on your registered e-mail ID.
You will receive a certificate via e-mail after you have successfully completed cleared the Certification Exam. If you prefer a hard copy of the certificate, you can make a request and get it printed and mailed to you for Rs. 300/-.

You can see all the Course Certificates you have earned on your Dashboard, under Completed Certification.

You would have also received your Certificate (s) by e-mail on your registered e-mail ID.

No, a review of your Certification Exam result is not possible. However, you may request to re-appear for the exam by paying a fee of Rs. 200/-. The set of questions for this exam will be different from that previously attempted.
Extension of course access will only be granted if you have special circumstances and reasonable grounds to support it. Each case will individually be evaluated by LawSkills and decisions will be taken on merit of the case.

COURSE COMPONENTS AND FORMATS

Discussion forums are platforms to discuss topics of common interest with your peers. When you enroll for a course on LawSkills, you get access to the course specific discussion forums on which you can ask queries and interact with your peers.

LawSkills also provides for a general discussion forum open to all individuals who have signed up with LawSkills. You can post topics of interest and also look for questions that have been already answered. Generally, students get most answers to their questions on the forum through their peers, if nothing else, then a different perspective. However, in case there is no answer to the topics, our faculty will answer the questions.

Discussion Forums are monitored, meaning that a member of our faculty is always there to support you and other participants for using the Forum correctly. Announcements in the Discussion Forum show all the important events and announcements related to the courses.

When you post on Forums or share content anywhere on LawSkills, our rules prohibit:

  • Harassing or threatening other users
  • Posting spam or promotional content
  • Posting inappropriate or graphic content
  • Posting assignment solutions
  • Any violations of our rules
    It is advised that you refrain from using profane, vulgar, or disrespectful language on the Discussion Forum. Our moderators will be monitoring the Forum and will remove any posts that they think are inappropriate. In case someone is a repeat offender, the moderators will be in a position to block the user from using the discussion forum.

When you are watching a video on LawSkills, you can use the video controls to:

  • Turn the subtitles on or off
  • Change the volume of the video
  • Change the video quality
  • Switch to full-screen mode
    We also provide full transcripts of our video lectures, thus, making it easier for you to absorb material that is being taught.

LawSkills provide audios for every text lecture for your benefit. When listening to audios on LawSkills, you can use the audio controls to:

  • Pause and resume
  • Increase or decrease the volume
  • Download the lecture
  • Restart the audio lecture
Yes! LawSkills also provides audio courses for our learners.

SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE

Once you have logged into your LawSkills account, you can change your password by going to your Profile and clicking on the Change Password (can be found on the left side of your screen) button. You will have to enter your current password followed by your new password.

An e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail ID confirming your new password details. If you do not get an e-mail from us after a few minutes, please check your spam folder.

    Serious problems might include:
  • An assignment deadline set before the course start date
  • A broken or incorrect link to something required for an assignment
  • A video that has no subtitles or the transcript is not loading
  • Anything that prevents you from taking or understanding the course
  • Problem with the video, audio, text lecture, quiz or assignment

No, please refer to our Refund Policy:

LawSkills does not provide refunds on any course or package. In case of any complaint or dissatisfaction with services rendered or courses, please write to us at contact@lawskills.in . Our support team will look into your grievances and try their best to resolve them to your satisfaction at the earliest.

Refunds may be considered for very special cases, depending on the discretion of LawSkills. You will be warranted a refund if:

  • Cancellation of a face-to-face sessions or any event
  • LawSkills reserves the right to postpone or cancel events, or change the location of an event because of insufficient enrollments, if the instructor is unwell or force majeure events (like floods, earthquakes, political instability, etc.).
  • We do not provide refunds for cancellation of any event. However, in case of cancellation due to force majeure, delegates will be refunded the amount without service tax (which is paid to the Government).

Rescheduling is allowed subject to certain terms and conditions. Please refer to our Rescheduling Policy:

LawSkills offer courses with fixed duration to learners. Thus, each course has a definite duration for which access is given to the learner once they purchase the course. So, if the course duration is of 8 weeks, learners enrolled in the course will need to complete the course within 8 weeks after they have been successfully enrolled.

If a case arises when the learner, after successful enrollment in a course, assesses that they will not be able to devote the time required to complete the course in the specified duration, they may request for the course to be rescheduled. LawSkills will consider the request in the light of our Rescheduling Policy, which is as follows:

  • The rescheduling request will only be entertained if the course duration of 75% is still available after the course is purchased/ enrolled in. For example, for an 8 weeks course, the rescheduling request will be accepted till the commencement of 2 weeks from the date of purchase/ enrollment.
  • Learners can avail the facility of rescheduling only once for a course.
  • Master classes, face-to-face sessions, online live sessions or any other event scheduled during the original duration of the course cannot be rescheduled. However, learners can request to attend similar events scheduled later for the same course, but it will be at the sole discretion of LawSkills to grant any such facility or entertain such requests.
  • The reschedule date cannot be later than 6 months from the date of original purchase/ enrollment of the course.

No refunds will be granted for any rescheduling. Please refer to your Refund Policy.

The listed price on courses is exclusive of taxes. Taxes will be levied extra on each purchase, as applicable.
