Blockchain is the technology set to change the way we deal with money. With the development of this decentralized ledger system, a host of opportunities have opened up. Industries today are using blockchain technologies to increase efficiency and solve business problems associated with data privacy, security, information sharing, and inclusion. This technology can create value for business through cost-savings and efficiencies – in terms of speed and simplicity. Moreover, blockchains are set to replace the traditional banking system which makes it pertinent for the legal fraternity to understand its impact on the commercial transaction. Further, this technology could revolutionize the admissibility of evidence, negotiable instrument and Information Technology Laws. Hence, one should know how the information is generated, stored, and shared in blockchains, as well as gain tools to evaluate whether or not a blockchain solution would be suitable for their particular business case.
This course is designed to not only give a basic understanding of the concept of blockchains and bitcoins, but also to elaborate on the working of the blockchains. This course will enable the learner to understand the need and impact of blockchain, on the banking sector. Learners will be aware of the legal issues involved with blockchains along with the smart contract, executed prior to the use of the same. The course does not require any prior knowledge of computer science or programming language.
